After completing B.Sc Engg(Mech.) in 1967 from Benaras Engineering College (BENCO, BHU, Varanasi)
he started his professional carrier with erstwhile UPSEB(U.P. State Electricity Board) at OBRA Thermal Power Project
. He was taken on deputation by BHEL for providing services to UPSEB as suppliers representative (as Expert in Erection, Testing & Commissioning of Turbine, Generator and Auxiliaries). Subsequently Mr Mishra joined BHEL in 1975
and remained with them till 1996. During his association with BHEL he spearheaded execution of Thermal as well as Combined Cycle Power Plants at various projects(Obra Thermal,Anpara Thermal,SIngrauli Super Thermal and Dadri Super Thermal and CCPP)
. He contributed significantly in Technology transfer from KWU Germany for Steam Turbine and remained in Germany and Tunisia for few months in this regard. His expertise as Turbine Expert is sought even now by NTPC BHEL and Power Generating Utilities.
He left BHEL in 1996 and joined L&T –Power Sector. While with L&T he looked after detailed planning including budgeting for their Bhilai Power Project, Project management of Combined Cycle project of DVB in Delhi, Renovation and Modernisation of 3 units of Ennore Thermal Power Station and Combined Cycle AESK Power Project at Colombo in Srilanka. He was deputed to USA for 5 weeks to study their Project Management Techniques/System.
He retired as Joint General Manager from L&T in 2002 but they continued to avail of his expert Advisory/Consultancy services for their Power Sector Projects including 2X660 MW J.P. Power Project in Madhya Pradesh.
He shifted to Lucknow in May’10 and became part of Medhaj-Management team.
